Movin’ on up

Today the movers arrived at our permanent apartment at Pebble Bay with all our furniture, other household junk and clothes. Some friends were nice enough to watch Liam for the day (I think he’s getting sick of me anyway) while I directed traffic and took inventory of the boxes… 168 in all. I’d like to say that we’ll miss the Great World Serviced Apartments, but although it has been a nice place to stay, it will be nice to get settled into our new place with all of our familiar stuff.
I spoke with Christina today and she seems to be doing well. She is keeping a pretty tight schedule between work and social engagements while in the Twin Cities. She will be returning early Monday morning – just as her internal sleep clock gets adjusted to Central Time.
Not sure what Liam and I will do this weekend (aside from organize/put away stuff/watch Finding Nemo for the millionth time). Maybe we’ll head over to Suntec City (big mall/convention center) for the World Cyber Games – kind of an Olympics for video games. I’ll be sure to bring a big American flag to wave and chant “USA! USA!” whenever an American wins a game, which will likely be never – they’ll probably win a World Cup (soccer) before they dominate any video game events in Asia.
For those keeping score, I haven’t run the Picnic into anything yet. But you’ll be the first to know when I do. It is bound to happen. The parking garages here are built for Mini Coopers.
