Reasons to be Thankful.

There are many reasons to be grateful during the holidays. The love and support of your friends and family. The gifts and the food that are carefully chosen and prepared, then enjoyed by all. Bunny rabbits, puppies, kittens and, um, mice. And this year in particular, we should all thank the Chicago Bears Defense FOR SACKING BRETT FAVRE TWICE AND INTERCEPTING HIS LAST PASS TO GIVE ME THE FANTASY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Yes, sports fans, er, fantasy sports fans, you could not write a more dramatic finish to a title game than this one. Down by two points with under a minute to play, my defense scores three miraculous points to grab VICTORY!!!.
But I’m a gracious winner. I know that there were people on the losing side of this supernatural turn of events. My heart goes out to them. Really. Especially after losing to them in last year’s Super Bowl, I understand the bitter taste of defeat. They can take solace in the fact that my team was simply preordained by the heavens to win and that, from the beginning, they really had no chance.
See you on the mythical gridiron next year.
