Welcome Nolan Robert Spence! Originally uploaded by rspence. Success! Nolan made his entrance at 9:24 on Sunday, Feb 26th. He weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz. and is 20 inches long. Head circ. is 13.5 inches. Christina and Nolan are wide awake and in good health and spirits. More later.

Just Resting.

We’ve both gotten a bit of sleep but were just awakened by a new baby with healthy lungs down the hall. Everything is on track for us… Just waiting for “go time”. One other note: Christina says the gowns here are much nicer than in the US.

All Quiet

Now for the down time. The nurse recommended that we get some sleep but neither of us feel like sleeping, although we’re both exhausted. The monitor is chugging away indicating the ebb and flow of the contractions and the baby’s heart rate, which goes up during the contractions. The epidural is doing the trick and [...]
