Happy Thursday

Liam and I just got back from Parkway Parade Mall.
His Thursday Gymboree class is across the street and I strategically took him to lunch and shopping afterward to get him tired so he’d fall asleep in the car. Then all I need to do is carry him to bed. Reason is, we’ve been trying to get him to go to sleep on his own for the last week. Since we’ve been in Singapore, he’s been in a ‘big boy’ bed and the bedtime drill usually involved us laying down with him until he fell asleep. Well, that takes a chunk out of our day (and night), so we’ve been biting the bullet and encouraging him to stay in bed on his own. The first couple of nights (and naps) he would get up 20-30 times, but now it’s only 4-5. Nap time tends to be tougher since it is light in his room and that’s where all the toys are.

On an unrelated note, here’s something I ran across that I thought was pretty funny. Not “Me maybe have unhealthy obsession, but me no monster” funny, but pretty funny:
