Tough Love

I don’t know about you, but Christina and I believe that the best way to improve your kids’ self-esteem and prepare them for the future is to start comparing them to one another at a very early age.
Case in point:
Here are a couple of photos of Liam and Nolan at roughly the same age…

The photos suggest similar development, but Nolan had his 4 month check-up at the pediatrician yesterday and the facts cannot be ignored.
He weighed in at 15lb. 9oz. and is 24 inches tall/long.
Liam was 15lb. 11oz and 25 inches at 4 months.
We have had a talk with Nolan to let him know how disappointed we are and that if we don’t see improvement at his 6 month check-up, we may have to take a long hard look at his future with this family.
