Voulez-vous the bus.

Liam loves riding on the bus. Not really sure why. Maybe he’s just scared of my driving. Maybe he’s just envronmentally conscious and likes supporting public transportation. Well, whatever, he wanted to ride one this morning so after I finished up my second (and last) fantasy football draft for the season I told him we’d take a bus ride – which is really just a shuttle to the nearby shopping mall – but he doesn’t care – yet. So we got to the mall , did some book shopping (Liam got a new Thomas the Tank Engine book), had some lunch at Mc Donald’s (their kids meals are healthier than you think) and made the return trip. Not too exciting, but the rain has stopped and it was a pretty nice morning.
Last night I had my second and last Habitat for Humanity meeting before the big trip. Lots to do in preparation. Arrange air travel, get temporary work visa, yada yada. Once I get back from the U.S. the India trip is going to be right in front of me. I’m still haven’t really gotten my head around how the whole thing is going to go (work?, accomodations?, food?, etc.) but I’m kind of looking forward to going into it with my work boots on and my eyes closed.
Nolan is getting LARGE, but I think we’ve already covered this. I may be biased, but he’s also getting pretty darn cute. A little more smiley than his brother was a this age, which is a relief because the first few months after he was born we thought we were raising a mini-Mussolini. But now he’s a jolly little fireplug. A fireplug that pooped all the way up the back of his shirt this afternoon.
Our friends Imran and Nida moved to Singapore recently. Christina and I went to their wedding in Pakistan back in 2000. It was the most amazing three day ceremony. Of course whenever I get to ride a horse in linen pajamas it will usually rank right up there. Anyhoo, we’re going to get together with them and their son Raza (who is roughly Liam’s age) this weekend. Looking forward to that.
