This is what we were all here for, the work. Since we were the first Habitat crew onsite, our tasks consisted mainly of digging holes to lay the foundations and building the foundations which involved mixing and hauling loads and loads of concrete and some brick laying. We also helped pour some cement roofs on homes that had already been completed prior to our arrival.

There’s not really much to say here other than we went home very sweaty and very dirty every night. Fortunately we had the village kids around all day to keep our spirits up.
